Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray led to people being hurt at the major London air hub.

Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, are accused of two counts of robbery and two counts of using a harmful chemical, as confirmed by court officials.

The charges follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two female travelers had their luggage stolen after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.

A toddler was one of the people hurt during the incident. Several persons required hospital care and were eventually allowed to go home.

The incident – which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism – resulted in disruptions to rail services and the temporary blocking of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking area for a short time.
