Young golfer preparing for significant tournament

This young athlete maintains considerable social media following

The young golfer will have multiple high-profile backers as she begins her LPGA debut later this week.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be connected to Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses multiple courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's quite skilled. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she stated.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He essentially suggested to play and enjoy myself," she continued.

"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He won't be there for the tournament. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

While still amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association standings.

Yet she can receive tips from Tiger Woods, who is dating Kai's mother.

"He represents the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.

"And he's a superior individual. He suggested me to compete, relax, following the flow."

She'll challenge some of most prominent players in women's golf at the Annika, featuring world number two the champion, British golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

The LPGA commented that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically reaching youth audiences.

Kai has millions of followers and has started an exclusive fashion and living company.

Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
