The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the small hours of New Year's Day. Confirmed footage depict the ceiling catching alight as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Authorities have indicated that it could take an extended period to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another 119. Officials stated on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been identified, with efforts ongoing to locate the final individuals.

In the interim, relatives have been posting on online platforms to plead for information about their loved ones who were present at the venue that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing
